Terms of use
Last updated: 3 November 2026
1. Scope and who you contract with
These terms apply when you use LearnThisNext (learnthisnext.com), with or without an account. LearnThisNext offers interactive Excel exercises in your browser, a learning path, a function translator and a free account that tracks your progress, points and streak.
For using the platform, your contract partner is Anna Sosnowski (sole proprietor, address in the legal notice), “we” or “us” below.
Purchase and payment of a Premium subscription are handled by Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company) as merchant of record. Link issues the invoice and handles VAT and payment. Link’s own terms, shown to you at checkout, also apply to the purchase and payment. The charge appears on your statement as “LINK.COM*”. What Premium includes, how long it runs, how it renews and how you cancel are governed by these terms. We provide the content and your access to it.
2. Your account
An account is optional and free. Give accurate details when you sign up, in particular an email address that belongs to you. One account is for one person and must not be shared. Keep your password to yourself. If you think someone else knows it, change it and let us know.
You can create a free account from age 16, or younger only with the consent of a parent or guardian. Only adults can buy Premium. A parent can buy Premium for their child and let them use it.
You can delete your account at any time in your dashboard. This deletes your progress, your tests and your certificates, and certificate verification links stop working. Deleting your account also cancels your subscription. Because there is no account left afterwards, Premium ends immediately on deletion. There is no pro rata refund for the current billing period (one month or, in the first year of an annual plan, that first year). We remind you of this before you delete. If you want to keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for, cancel first and delete your account later.
3. What is free and what Premium adds
Free: all lessons with their fixed exercises, plus three extra generated tasks per day.
Premium adds:
- unlimited extra tasks,
- the timed final test with a certificate (you can retake it, and a certificate you already earned stays valid),
- an analysis of your weak spots,
- all future courses (for example SQL, VBA, Power BI) as they are released.
Changes to Premium: we may change Premium beyond what is needed to keep it in conformity with the contract if there is a valid reason, in particular adapting to new Excel versions or functions, technical development, security, changes in the law, and revising or replacing lessons and exercises with equivalent content. This costs you nothing extra, and we tell you about the change clearly. If a change affects your access to Premium or its usability more than slightly, we tell you by email in good time beforehand, including your rights. You can then end the contract free of charge within 30 days of that notice, or of the change if it happens later. Amounts you already paid for the time after that are refunded pro rata.
4. Premium subscription
Premium costs 7.99 EUR per month (monthly plan) or 59.99 EUR per year (annual plan), VAT included. The price shown at checkout is the one that applies. Prices for new subscriptions may change. An existing subscription keeps the price you signed up at.
Monthly plan: runs for one month and renews for another month each time unless you cancel before.
Annual plan: the first term is one year, paid in advance. If you do not cancel before the end of that year, it does not renew for another year. Instead it continues month by month for an indefinite period at 5.00 EUR per month (one twelfth of the annual price), paid one month in advance. From then on you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current month.
Cancelling: without logging in via the cancellation link at the bottom of every page, in your LearnThisNext account via “Cancel subscription”, or directly with Link. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for: for a monthly plan and for an annual plan after its first year at the end of the current month, in the first year of an annual plan at the end of that year. You keep Premium until then and can go on using your account for free afterwards.
5. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw from buying a subscription within 14 days. Purchase and payment are handled by Link. How to withdraw and what applies is set out in Link’s withdrawal information and terms shown at checkout. You can also send us your withdrawal by email to info@learnthisnext.com.
6. Coupon codes
A coupon code can unlock Premium for a set number of months, stated with the code. When that time is up, Premium simply ends at no cost, unless you choose to take out a subscription. Coupon codes cannot be exchanged for cash.
7. Certificate
When you pass the final test, you receive a LearnThisNext certificate. It shows the name you enter for it, the date, a certificate ID and the skill areas tested. It does not show your score, which only you can see in your account. Anyone with the link can check these details at learnthisnext.com/zertifikat/<code>/. These pages are kept out of search engines.
The certificate confirms that you passed our test. It is not a Microsoft certification, not an IHK (German Chamber of Commerce) examination and not a state-recognised qualification.
Rules for the test:
- The person named on the certificate takes the test personally.
- No help from other people.
- No manipulation of the test or its scoring, for example by tampering with the page, running scripts or using automated tools.
If we have concrete reasons to believe that a certificate was obtained in breach of these rules, we may revoke it, and its verification page will no longer show it as valid. Before doing so we give you the chance to respond.
8. Fair use
In particular, you must not:
- scrape or bulk download content, exercises or solutions,
- share your account or pass Premium on to others,
- attack or overload the site or get around its security measures,
- have tasks or tests solved automatically, for example by scripts or bots.
If you break these rules, we may restrict features or block your account. We only terminate a paid subscription for good cause, normally after a warning.
9. Rights to content
The texts, exercises, task generators, program code and design of LearnThisNext are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own learning. Copying them, publishing them on other websites or in apps, or using them commercially requires our written consent.
What you learn is yours: you are free to use formulas and skills from LearnThisNext in your own work and files.
10. Availability
We work to keep LearnThisNext available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical faults or problems at third parties such as our hosting provider can limit use from time to time.
11. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
For slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an essential contractual obligation, meaning an obligation that makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited to the damage that is typical for this kind of contract and foreseeable. Otherwise we are not liable for slight negligence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We will tell registered users about changes by email at least four weeks before they take effect. You can object to the changes, delete your account or cancel your subscription. Changes that affect the price or scope of a running subscription to your disadvantage only apply with your express consent.
13. Governing law
German law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you habitually live.
14. Consumer dispute resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
